General Minimum Wages

Update 2025

On December 19, 2024, the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) published the “RESOLUTION issued by the Honorable Council of Representatives of the National Minimum Wage Commission, establishing the general and professional minimum wages that will take effect as of January 1, 2025.”

This publication confirms the Resolution issued by the Council of Representatives on December 3, 2024, which we had previously shared through this bulletin. The following updates were determined:

Professional Minimum Wages

The professional minimum wages for specific occupations have also been established. Employers with personnel engaged in any of the specified activities must ensure appropriate adjustments to meet the corresponding minimum wage.

Compliance and Recommendations

It is important to note that these adjustments are mandatory, and non-compliance may result in penalties. Employers must ensure that:

  • Appropriate records and evidence of wage compliance are maintained.
  • Adjustments are implemented promptly for all applicable employees.
